On the Work of Foreign Mass Media Representatives in the Republic of Belarus during the 2014 Ice Hockey World Championship

In order to cover the Ice Hockey World Championship events in Minsk from 25 April to 31 May 2014, representatives of foreign mass media have to obtain accreditation from the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Foreign journalists, accredited by the IIHF, don’t need accreditation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to cover the events of the championship, whereas they have to obtain one to cover other events in the Republic of Belarus . 

Visa-free entry to Belarus will be granted from 25 April to 31 May 2014 to foreign journalists listed in the official accreditation system of the IIHF . 

Foreign journalists not accredited by the IIHF and planning to perform professional activities in Belarus, are required to obtain Foreign Ministry accreditation in accordance with the established procedure.
