The Republican Research Centre for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology (SI “RRCRM&HE”)
SI «RRCRM&HE» provides high quality and high technology medical care in 19 specializations. Daily, experienced specialists of consultation and diagnostic department , which is rated for 500 visits per shift, deliver qualified medical care for upward of 800 Belorussian patients, as well as for patients from nearest CIS-countries and foreign countries. Annually in-patient department (372 beds) provides treatment for about 14 000 patients and includes the following departments: the Hematology department for adults, the Hematology department for children, the Gynecology department, the Therapeutic department for liquidators and the Chernobyl affected population, the Endocrinology department, the Immunopathology and allergology department, the Surgery department.
In SI «RRCRM&HE» work unique scientific and practical units for preventive gastroenterology, neurology and neurophysiologic research methods, metabolic disorders, immunopathology and allergology, ophtamology, plastic surgery, endocrine and reconstructive surgery. Department of Aesthetic Medicine offers a full range of cosmetological procedures using modern methods of plastic surgery, including minimally invasive laser correction. With the purpose of treatment and rehabilitation the patients get medical massage, vibromassage, shock wave therapy, plasmapheresis, ultraviolet blood irradiation, extracorporeal photochemotherapy.
All kinds of interventions in ophthalmosurgery are performed with modern sutureless methods: keratoplasty, vitreoretinal surgery, cataract surgery, macular hole, diabetic eye disease. To treat retinal diseases, glaucoma we actively use laser microsurgery, for treatment of neovascularisation and macular edema – intravitreal introduction of bevacizumab. The Surgery department provides a full range of endoscopic interventions on abdominal cavity organs and endocrine organs, kidney transplantation, minimally invasive surgeries on thyroid and parathyroid glands, adrenal glands. In the Gynecology department are widely performed endoscopic transvaginal surgeries, upfront and reconstructive surgeries on pelvic organs, including the use of aloprosthesis.
Diagnostic support for treatment is provided with modern equipment in the following departments: The X-ray diagnostic department, the Endoscopy department, the Ultrasound diagnostic department, the Functional diagnostic department, laboratory service. We provide the opportunity for complete physical examination of the patients using premium equipment: US, MRT, CT, endoscopic methods of diagnostics and treatment, allergy diagnostics, early detection of cancer markers.
The peculiarities of health care in the State Institution “RRCRM&HE” are the following: a comprehensive approach to patients’ treatment and rehabilitation, the use of the latest advances in medical science, high professionalism of clinicians, constant monitoring of the quality of work. The high quality of medical services is confirmed by the received awards: Laureate of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality (2010), Diploma Winner of the Commonwealth of Independent States Prize for achievements in the field of quality (2013).
In RRCRM&HE 94% of physicians have the qualifying categories, out of which higher category — 52%. There are 22 candidates and 2 doctors with PhD degree. In 2014 there were received 19 patents for inventions and utility models, 8 instructions for the use of new methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases were approved. Scientific and practical reviewed journal “Medical and Biological Problems of Life” is published. It is included in the list of scientific publications of Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. International cooperation in medical and scientific fields is carried out with leading scientific institutions of the Russian Federation, the United States, Japan, France, Germany and other countries.
